Landscape Mug

These mugs were made on the potter's wheel from a mixture of clays to provide a dark brown base with lighter coloured flecks and swirls. The mixture of clays reflects the different browns found in the barks of trees, the fallen leaves and the sandy soils. 

The blue and green glazes are handmade and satin matte in texture. The glazes are layered and flow at their join to create a visual of a changing landscape. Every mug is different and the one you receive may not be one in the photos below but it will be similar in design and unique in the way the glazes flow and the image of a landscape is created. I enjoy the way the flow of glazes suggests the presence of trees and bushes on the horizon.

As this is handmade sizing may vary and slight irregularities in size, shape or glaze may be present. Every item is unique and small imperfections such as glaze drips, spots or superficial cracks may be present. These do not impact function and highlight the unique beauty of every handcrafted item.
